Timing Equipment – Timing gears, since the name implies, are used for various timing purposes. Also known as synchronous gears, they may be either spur or helical gears. They are generally used in automotive applications to regulate valve timing in engines.
Worm Gear – A worm gear includes a worm and a worm wheel functioning collectively. Pump Gear – A pump gear is the name pertaining to a gear used in gear pumps. They contain both a driver and driven equipment and can be either spur or helical gears. Gear pumps are positive displacement pumps, which means they pump a constant amount of liquid in each revolution.
